The Legend of an answered prayer by Katie and Karen

Answered Prayers

Once upon a time, in Minnesota, lived a mother named Joanne and her 10 year old daughter named Mary.  They secretly lived in the nurse’s room at Mary school where Ms. Joanne was the nurse.  They couldn’t afford to live elsewhere.  Mary’s father died four years ago from complications of surgery.  The hospital bills and funeral costs were taking a lot of their money.  They lived very meagerly, with barely enough to eat.

One day, they found themselves out of food.  Ms. Joanne then told Mary, “I will check my pocket to see if we have enough money to buy some dinner.”  Joanne looked surprised when she couldn’t even find one penny.  Mary was sad so she went to a corner where she had spent some time with God and prayed.  “Lord, I know that you can work miracles so I want to ask for a loaf of bread and some milk, Amen.”   She then went about her business knowing she could trust the Lord with her life.

About an hour later, they heard the door open and they saw a man carrying a grocery sack.  He walked in and said, “Hi, my name is Jerry, and I am a substitute here, and I was praying this morning and felt I should bring this with me today.”  Mary’s eyes widened and she peeked inside the bag.  She exclaimed, “ I prayed for a loaf of bread and milk and here it is!!!”  Jerry smiled, knowing that he was used by God that day.  They all decided to thank God for providing for their needs in a beautiful way.  Little did they know that day, but Joanne and Jerry would then start to date, and later marry.  They were never hungry again and they moved out of the school into a quaint little home down the street.

the sun and the moon - my dimonate poem

Sun
bright, yellow
rising, shining, heating
sunrise, sunset, moonbeams, night
appearing, changing, glowing
white, cool

Snowflakes- My Sense Poem

Snowflakes
Looks like white little shapes in the air
Sounds like crunchy footsteps walking on snow
Tastes like droplets of water on my tongue
Smells like the cool ice above my head
Feels like soft wet snow under my feet

My Clay Mario World

Mark, Melissa, my cousin Luke, and I are planning to build a 1 foot 8 inch clay Mario World.  It is a lot of work, but we are going to work hard to make the best Mario World that we can build.  We are going to get a lot of clay so we can build it.  It will probably take about a year or so, but we are determined.
I will show the picture of the MW when we are finished, hopefully sooner than later!

I lost my tooth

Two days ago, I lost my tooth!!!  This is what happened: I was at a good-bye dinner at my pastor's house and I was eating dinner when I started biting on the food, I would bite between the loose tooth and the teeth beside that tooth.  So I went to tell my mommy and my pastor's wife was listening and she said to pull my tooth out with a paper towel.  When I did, my tooth came out!!!  It was very exciting!!!  I have another loose tooth right now!!!  I bet I will have all my teeth that I'm supposed to loose out soon!!!

My Haikus

I've been writing some haiku's and I wanted to share some with you:
            Flowers
   Flowers cool and bright
Shinning brightly in the grass
    Flowers are pretty

Bugs
Small tiny bodies
Flying all in the cool air
Cute little beetles

 Dogs
Dogs are chasing cats
Running round and round the house
They stuff their belly

 Angels
 Pretty angel wings
They are flying through the sky
beautifully by

Christmas!!!

On Christmas, I woke up around 7:00 am, woke the rest of the kids up and told them to go in mom's and dad's room to go wake mom and dad up.  Then, my dad read the Christmas story from his Bible.  Last, we got to open our Christmas presents.  For Christmas I got some slippers, littlest pet shop, a stuffed animal dog that turns into a pillow, gloves and a sims card for my phone.  It was the best Christmas ever!
